Pacific Rim 3D, what can I say about this film? Lets start with the plot, it’s about very very large monsters coming out of the ocean and attacking cities across the world. Mankind make very very large machines to fight the monsters, who’s going to win us or them?
Well when you look at the plot it sounds like Godzilla on steroids which doesn’t sound appealing unless you are into monster films. My god you would be very very wrong, this is the best film to-date that one has watched in 3D.

This film is a American Science-Fiction film directed by Guillermo del Toro, written by del Toro and Travis Beacham, and starring Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Robert Kazinsky, Max Martini, and Ron Perlman.
The film is set in the 2020’s and the Earth is under attack by the Kaijus (massive monsters), after the first attacks the Earth finally unites to fight the Kaijus and we make Jaegers which are massive humanoid shape machines which are controlled by two people that control one side of the Jaegers each as we found that one Human can not control a machine as the brain/computer interface could kill who ever tried to control the Jaeger. There is just one problem, the Kaijus start to fight back and start winning, how can a Kaijus (monster) fight back like they have someone or something controlling them? Here comes the answer, there is a massive wormhole (gateway to another universe) under the pacific ocean and there is only one way we can stop mankind and all other life being wiped out, that is to close the wormhole, but when you are only down to your last few Jaegers it is going to be harder than it sounds, and the Jaegers have seen better days. So this film is about will we live or will we die, and who are going to be the ones who close the wormhole. Those of you who love action action action and 3D then you will love this film, if you don’t then you don’t love action films like you say!
Idris Elba (Luther BBC Series) in fantastic as his role as Stacker Pentecost, he plays the part very very well and if you love Luther on BBC then you will love Idris in this. His character has the weight of the world on his shoulders as if he gets it wrong then all of mankind will DIE!!! As you watch him play his part you realize that he is a tough man with a heart.
Charlie Hunnam as Raleigh Becket and Rinko Kikuchi as Mako Mori had a fantastic chemistry in the film, as soon as Raleigh and Mako meet in the film you could feel the chemistry between them, it wasn’t a case of will they or wont they, it was a case they already felt like the were a couple even though they were not. Watch as the overcome a lot of things to finally get to control a Jaeger together, but even then things go wrong and you know they should be together in a Jaeger but they have to persuade Stacker which is going to be harder than it sounds. So again will the get to control a Jaeger and go on the most dangerous mission ever known to mankind? Watch the film to find out!
